The American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois has recognized the state's top engineering achievements of the past year.
Kevin Artl, the President and CEO of the ACEC of Illinois, said, "The projects recognized and honored during this year's award ceremony are well-designed, best-in-class construction projects that renew public spaces and make novel resources available for Illinoisans, ultimately bringing economic prosperity to our communities."
During the annual Engineering Excellence Awards, the Horner and Shifrin Inc. was recognized for improvements to the City of Marion.
The engineering firm won the Outstanding Graphic Award for the display submitted for the city's downtown square.
