The dedication ceremony, held on September 14, was led by State Senator Terri Bryant and State Representative David Friess.

Running from August 30 to September 1, the Illinois Product Expo will feature more than 15 vendors showcasing an array of goods.

The university will be heavily involved in the fair's festivities, starting with the Twilight Parade. The parade will feature the Marching Salukis, Saluki Spirit Squads, members of the Dawg Pound, and SIU System President Dan Mahony, all proudly representing SIU as they march through the fairgrounds.

The funds will help Du Quoin with a project the town has worked toward for years.

SIU has several activities set during the fair, starting with the annual Twilight Parade at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25.

Country music star Travis Denning will perform at the Duquoin State Fair.

Troopers say 61-year-old Randal Everitt of Du Quoin faces numerous charges.

ISP reports that the investigation is ongoing.

Tickets go on sale May 19th.

Officials say the bus involved was transporting students home from Du Quoin to Carbondale.
